Ball, age 43, a miner employed by Standard Metals Corporation, while cleaning a grizzly sustained a compound fracture of his right leg (fracture of right tibia and fibula) eight inches above the ankle in an accident arising out of and in the course of his employment. The employer filed an admission of liability and Ball received certain workmens compensation benefits for this injury.
